Morality is based on the dignity of the human person.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>2. \u00a0Call to Family, Community, and Participation \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0People have both the right and the duty to participate in society\u2014to seek the good and well-being of all.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>3. \u00a0Rights and Responsibilities Every person has a right to life and those things that are necessary to life. \u00a0Every person also has responsibilities to others\u2014 to family and to society.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>4. \u00a0Option for the Poor and Vulnerable The story of the Last Judgment (Matthew 25:31 -46) tells us to put the needs of the poor and vulnerable first.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>5. \u00a0The Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Work is a way to participate in God&#8217;s creation. Workers have rights\u2014to productive work and fair wages, to organize and join unions, to private property, and to economic initiative.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>6. \u00a0Solidarity \u00a0 \u00a0We are one human family, whatever our national, racial, ethnic, economic, and ideological differences.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>7. \u00a0Care for God&#8217;s Creation \u00a0 \u00a0We show respect for our Creator by taking care of creation.
