  • Thanksgiving baskets for the poor in our area<\/li>\n
  • supporting children organizations with a Mother\u2019s Day collection for unwed mothers<\/li>\n
  • Habitat for Humanity<\/li>\n
  • Miracle box holding prayer petitions for others<\/li>\n
  • Adopting a family for Christmas<\/li>\n
  • Jacob\u2019s ladder \u2013 putting boxes together for Service people<\/li>\n
  • Supermarket gift cards for poor who come into Outreach<\/li>\n
  • Read work of confirmation candidates & sent cards & prayers<\/li>\n
  • Donate Chinese Auction gifts & baskets<\/li>\n
  • Collect and assembled ingredients for Seder plates for Holy Thursday Family Celebration.<\/li>\n
  • Writing to politicians and stating their views on justice issues<\/li>\n
  • Visiting social justice web sites to learn about upcoming issues<\/li>\n
  • Click on theHungersite.com , etc.<\/li>\n
  • Purchase 300 Club tickets as group and individual<\/li>\n
  • Bookbags filled with school supplies for homeless children<\/li>\n
  • Baby clothes for clinic serving low income newborn<\/li>\n
  • Adopted a child from Save the Children<\/li>\n
  • Many people have joined ministries (sharing faith leads you to new arenas): consolation, bereavement, social justice, counters, WebShepherds, bibs for baptism, meals on wheels, Eucharistic Ministers<\/li>\n
  • Make an offering to pay for the bread and wine for a weekend at Good Shepherd.<\/li>\n
  • Save & Collect up any change we find and make a contribution to Christa House.<\/li>\n
  • Make contributions to the food pantry.<\/li>\n
  • Make contributions to the Peanut Butter and Jelly gang.<\/li>\n
  • Adopted a Native American child in North Dakota, through the Christian Children\u2019s Fund;<\/li>\n
  • One SCC annually contributes between $300 and $500 to outreach<\/li>\n
  • Work in soup kitchen<\/li>\n
  • Christmas gifts for the needy at the adult home<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    Future Actions Suggested:<\/strong><\/h5>\n

    • New desire was voiced by someone to do more outside of supporting each other.<\/li>\n
    • Each SCC offer breakfast once a month to talk about small church<\/li>\n
    • Learn the facts about social justice issues<\/li>\n
    • Memorial for Al Curry, our maintenance man who died after many years of service to GS<\/li>\n
    • Acknowledge the years of service of Betty through a card and gift.<\/li>\n
    • Continue to respond to the needs of Good Shepherd<\/li>\n
